As you’ve probably seen, a couple of photos posted on Martin Brodeur’s Facebook page spread like wildfire throughout the goalie community last week, and for now, they have ended the speculation on what brand of equipment he’ll be wearing for the upcoming season.
The photos show a heavily modified Vaughn Velocity series pad, and appear to be very similar to his custom Sher-Wood setups from previous years. The pads feature his standard single break outer roll, the tapered thigh rises, and toe caps/buckles.
The blocker is binding-less with the vintage waffleboard design. The glove keeps the standard Vaughn vintage look on what appears to be a T-5500 model.
Although it’s hard to imagine Brodeur in Vaughn pads, with the ability to fully customize and construct his actual game-worn pads, we’re not surprised that he’s likely making the switch for what could very well be his last season in the NHL.
We’ll post more details on Marty’s actual specs as soon as we can get them. Stay tuned.

Not suprised that Vaughn almost duplicated his Sher-wood equipment, now that Dave Wilcox has joined Vaughn. This is a great combination, Vaughn,Dave Wilcox and Marty!!!
